North Metro Medical Center is committed to its mission of improving the health of our community. We do this by providing our community with health education classes and support groups. We currently host several community-based groups and provide educational programs in conjunction with our hospital-based services.

American Association of Integrative Medicine

Nora Osborne, MS, RN, BSN, CNOR, BCIM has been in the field of Nursing for nearly 36 years and has served as a Leader in nursing for nearly 20 years. Her unique perspective on blending alternative therapies with traditional interventions and medicine has set her apart from her stereotype. In 2011, she became Board Certified in Integrative Medicine through the American Association of Integrative Medicine (AAIM) while still maintaining her specialty certification in Peri-operative Nursing. Ms. Osborne’s profound expertise in her field has qualified her to serve on the Advisory Board of AAIM at Diplomat status. Her determination to create an atmosphere of whole wellness in the acute care setting is what has lead her to adapt a culture of patient and family centered care. Ms. Osborne honorably serves on the education review board for the Arkansas Nurses Association. She passionately drives home the theory of wellness being obtainable through the body, mind, and spirit as a whole. In 2013, Ms. Osborne obtained her certification through the Paramount Wellness Institute as a Holistic Stress Management Instructor. Additionally, Ms. Osborne has completed the Masters program through the American College of Health Sciences with a major in Complementary Alternative Medicine. She teaches Mindful Meditation classes to breast cancer patients and a wide range of audiences and looks forward to expanding that work.
